Why a link gap is a good outreach list
A site that already links to two or three of your competitors writes about your topic and links out to businesses like yours. That makes it a warmer prospect than a cold list: you know it is relevant, and you can see which competitor it chose. Sites linking to every competitor come first in the list for that reason.
How to read the results
- Links to shows which of your competitors each domain links to.
- Link Prominence (0 to 100) is how central the linking domain is in the web’s link network. Within the same competitor count, more prominent domains come first.
- Your own domain is left out of the list, and so are the competitors you entered.
Limits worth knowing
The tool compares whole domains, so it can’t show the linking page, anchor text or nofollow status. Open the domain and search it for your competitor’s name to find the page. No link index sees the whole web, so some links will be missing. For a competitor with more than 300,000 referring domains, the comparison uses its 300,000 most prominent ones.
