What valid FAQPage JSON-LD looks like

The code this generator outputs is a single JSON-LD object with three parts: a @context pointing to schema.org, an @type of FAQPage, and a mainEntity array. Every question you add becomes one Question node, and its answer becomes a nested acceptedAnswer of type Answer. Nothing is sent to a server — the markup is built in your browser as you type, and only Q&A pairs where both fields are filled in are included, so a half-written row never breaks the output.

How to add and validate the code

Copy the whole block, from the opening <script type="application/ld+json"> tag to its close, and drop it into the HTML of the page those questions appear on. A few checks before you rely on it:

• Use one FAQPage block per page — don’t paste the same schema across your whole site.
• Confirm it parses with the Schema Markup Validator at validator.schema.org. Google’s Rich Results Test no longer covers FAQPage, so it will report nothing for this markup.
• Keep the marked-up Q&As matched to text a visitor can actually see on the page.

Structure that AI engines can parse cleanly

The honest case for this markup is narrow: it pairs each question with its answer unambiguously, so any machine reading the page — a search engine, an assistant, your own tooling — does not have to infer the pairing from prose.Microsoft states that schema helps Copilot understand and surface content, which is the one first-party claim in this area. Google says structured data is not required for its AI features, and a May 2026 study by Ahrefs (an SEO tool vendor) found no citation uplift from adding it — on pages that were already cited heavily, the only case it measured. Treat it as tidying that costs nothing, and put your effort into the answers themselves.
