Verify your site
Is your site behind Cloudflare or Vercel and coming back with a blocked audit? Prove you own the domain with a quick DNS record, and we’ll show you exactly how to allowlist our crawler so you get a full, accurate report. Verification is a standard DNS TXT check, and we keep no record of it.
How verification works
Enter your domain and we give you a TXT record to add at your DNS provider. Its name is _seoaiaudits-verify.yourdomain.com and its value starts with seoaiaudits-verify=. The value is worked out from your domain name, so it is the same every time you ask and we don’t need to save anything to check it. When you click Check verification, we look the record up through Google Public DNS.
The record covers the exact domain you verify, with or without www — not its other subdomains.
What the record changes
While the record stays in your DNS, every full audit of your domain — whoever starts it — also crawls the pages your robots.txt disallows, and whoever started that audit sees what it found. The record tells us the site’s owner wants complete audits. Once you remove it, audits follow your robots.txt again.
The record does not get past a firewall by itself. That is what the allowlist rule is for: once you’re verified, we show you the rule for Cloudflare and Vercel, and you add it.
The rule matches a request header, and anyone can send a header, so it lets through any request that copies it — not only ours. Scope it as narrowly as your firewall allows, and remove it when you no longer need audits from behind the firewall.
Joining the AI-Ready directory
The AI-Ready directory checks this same record once, at the moment a site joins.
